2019 was a big year for Nanoracks. In addition to moving their Houston office to a whole new facility, officially launching their highly anticipated Bishop Airlock program, they celebrated 10 years of doing business. Reveling in the culmination of so many milestones, company leadership noted the opportunity to broadcast to their customers and employees that a new Nanoracks had arrived—a new energy was coursing through the company that badly needed to be represented outwardly. And what a better way signal this to all stakeholders than by updating their aging brand to something more representative of who they are and who they intend to become?
Nanoracks is widely regarded as a pioneer in New Space, so when they approached Cosma Schema to lead the rebranding effort, we were honored to say the least. How could we do this iconic brand justice while retaining the heritage they’ve built up for years?
Creating a solid, strategy-based, visual identity system allows companies to make frictionless, consistent brand decisions as they grow which in turn provides a more trustworthy, memorable experience for audiences. Through interviews with Nanoracks’ leadership and thorough industry research we developed a visual design strategy that laid the groundwork for our visual identity development process. The result is a stark departure from their previous marks—a complete brand system representative of their tendency to operate nimbly within multiple business verticals—essential aspects of their brand promise.
Nanoracks will be rolling out their new brand over the course of 2020.
